We offer free shipping on all orders, regardless of size or weight.
However, if your delivery address is in a remote area, additional shipping charges may apply. In such cases, we will contact you after you place your order.
We ship worldwide using trusted carriers such as DHL, FedEx, and Japan Post, and we strive to provide safe and reliable delivery.
Import Duties and Taxes
Product prices shown on our website do not include taxes.
At checkout, taxes required under your country of residence (such as VAT or GST) will be automatically calculated and added to your order total. Import duties (if any) may also apply depending on your country’s regulations and will likewise be calculated at checkout.
Because these costs are already settled at the time of payment, no additional charges are normally requested upon delivery.
However, in rare and irregular cases, the customs authorities in your country may decide to charge additional import duties or taxes directly. If this occurs, the shipping carrier (such as DHL or other international couriers) will contact you with instructions for payment.

Because our artworks are primarily handcrafted, we ship within 2-3 business days of receiving your order. If it takes longer than the estimated shipping time above, we will contact you directly.
Cancellation Policy
You may request to cancel your order by contacting us through the Customer Support Inquiry Form and providing the following details:

Please note:
1. We are unable to accept changes or cancellations after the product has been shipped.
2. For custom orders, cancellations are eligible for a full refund if requested within 24 hours of payment and before the production process begins. Once production has started, no refunds will be possible.
Delivery Days
For delivery by DHL, it usually takes 4-8 days after we ship. However, if international shipping conditions are difficult or your address is remote, it may take 10-20 days.
Delivery days refer to the number of days from the date we ship the product from our store. Additionally, weekends and public holidays may not be included in the delivery timeframe.
The time required for delivery depends on the delivery service and customs situation in each country, as well as on other factors such as natural disasters and other accidents. We cannot make any guarantees concerning delivery times.
Customs Clearance
Please note that some countries may require parcels to be opened for customs inspection. Our store cannot be held responsible for any actions taken by customs officials.
If You Are Unable to Receive the Order
If your parcel cannot be delivered due to reasons such as long-term absence, an incorrect or incomplete shipping address, refusal to accept the package, or failure to pay import duties or taxes (when required by local customs), the courier will usually hold the parcel at a local facility for a limited time. If it is not claimed within this period, the parcel will be automatically returned to us in Japan.
In such cases, we will issue a partial refund, subtracting the actual costs incurred, including:
・the cost to ship the product to you,
・the cost to return the product to us, and
・any duties and taxes already paid.
Please note that even though we offer free shipping, we still pay the courier and cover import charges on your behalf. These costs will be deducted from your refund.
If the total costs exceed the total amount paid at the time of order, no refund will be issued.

Interior Calligraphy's artworks are individually handcrafted, making each piece a one-of-a-kind artwork. We meticulously create them with care, aiming to bring joy to all of our customers. Therefore, there may be slight variations between the artwork photos on our store (Interior Calligraphy) and the actual artworks, as each piece is unique. Consequently, artworks may only be returned if they are damaged during shipment, defective, or otherwise authorized for return or exchange by Interior Calligraphy. Thank you for your understanding.
In Case of Serious Damage to the Package Upon Delivery
While we make every effort to ensure careful packing, if you notice any unexpected damage upon delivery, simply refuse to accept the package and inspect its contents together with the local delivery personnel.
In Case of Damage or Defects of the Delivered Artworks
If your received artworks arrive damaged or defective, please contact us through the Customer Support Inquiry Form within 7 days of delivery, providing your order number and detailed photos of the damage.
When Interior Calligraphy acknowledges damage or defects in the artwork, customers have the option to return the artwork or request a reshipment of the same piece.
If the customer wishes to return the artwork, the return process shall be carried out according to the method specified by Interior Calligraphy.
If Interior Calligraphy approves the return of an artwork, but the customer does not return it using the specified method, and if the customer cannot be contacted within 10 days after Interior Calligraphy has attempted to reach out, the customer will be considered to have abandoned the return. Please note that returns will not be accepted after this point.
Please note that returns for personal reasons (such as non-defective returns) are not accepted.
If a return is exceptionally approved for reasons other than damage or defect, any import duties, taxes, and shipping costs (both outbound and return) already incurred will be deducted from the refund amount.
Important Notes on Our Artworks
All of Interior Calligraphy’s artworks are handcrafted using traditional Shodo (Japanese calligraphy) techniques.
Unlike machine-printed designs, each brushstroke is unique and may show subtle variations or smudging in the black ink or the red seal. This is a natural result of authentic Shodo work.
Please handle your artwork with care and avoid touching the inked areas, rubbing the surface, or stacking other products directly on top. Also, keep it away from water and moisture.
The red ink used in the seal contains oil and may remain slightly wet or tacky even years after completion.
The washi paper we use is also handmade and may contain small natural fibers or spots from the raw materials. These are not defects, but part of the beauty and character of handcrafted Japanese calligraphy.

Unfortunately, due to international shipping constraints, we are unable to accommodate specific delivery date and time requests.

If your package has not arrived by the expected delivery date and you have not received any communication from the delivery carrier or customs, please contact the nearest delivery carrier or customs office yourself, providing your tracking number.
If a shipment is held up in your country of residence, the logistics company (and possibly the customs authorities) must be able to contact you. Failure to contact the customer may delay the import clearance of the goods or cause the shipment to be returned to Interior Calligraphy. Therefore, for example, DHL requires your telephone number to be provided at the time of shipment. Please understand.
Absolutely! Ordering from Japan is easy. You can pay in Japanese yen, and your artwork will be delivered to your doorstep within a few days by a domestic courier service.
